Search for a pharmacy near youWe provide access to other HUB sites for patients to book evening, weekend and bank holiday appointments
Patients usually may book appointments with GPs in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley (although currently the Swanley HUBs are not operating duirng the COVID pandemic). These HUBs are located across the three areas and give patients the opportunity to have an appointment at a time to suit them.
Appointments (which are currently telephone based), until 8pm Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, may be booked in advance during practice opening hours.
The HUB appointments are usually available at The Oaks on Mondays, (alothough this is not available currently due to the pandemic) but when attending other HUBs the health professionals treating you will be able to see your full medical records, providing consent is given. In addition to the Monday HUB at The Oaks, the extended service will be available at White Horse Surgery, Northfleet, Temple Hill Surgery, Dartford, and The Cedars Surgery, Swanley. These appointments are for non-urgent routine care. If you need medical assistance when your practice is closed, call NHS 111.
These extended hours for pre-bookable appointments are offered alongside the existing ‘walk-in’ service at White Horse Surgery and Walk-In Centre, Northfleet, where patients can wait to see a GP without an appointment.
Please ask Reception for further details.
Closure of GP walk-in service at White Horse Patients are advised that the walk-in GP service at White Horse, Northfleet, ended on 30 June 2020. This is the first step towards implementing a linked urgent treatment centre at Gravesham Community Hospital and Darent Valley Hospital, following a public consultation last year, in line with the Government’s Long Term Plan. In taking that decision, it was also agreed at that time that the contract held with Fleet Healthcare to provide the walk-in GP service would not be extended when it expired on 30 June 2020.
Patients who need to urgently see a GP should contact us and we will do our best to offer an on-the-day telephone appointment if clinically needed. Alternatively, if we are closed, you can call NHS 111 for advice and direction to the nearest available service where appropriate.
The Miinor Injury Unit at Gravesham Community Hospital, Gravesend, remains open for urgent minor injuries and some minor illnesses. For life-threatening conditions, call 999.
